Who we are
Jamopolis Games, based in the United States, operates On the Green: Endless Golf, including its Steam demo (the "Game"). We are responsible for the personal information we process as described here. Contact us about privacy at onthegreen [@] jamopolis.com.
This policy covers the Game and feedback you send us.
Optional gameplay analytics
With your permission, we use Unity Analytics to understand how players experience the Game and improve its tutorials, balance, usability, and translations. You can play without enabling analytics.
Analytics includes:
* A randomly generated installation identifier and session identifiers.
* Event times, event order, session elapsed time, and game version.
* Your selected language and changes between languages.
* Story, run, match, and hole progression, results, and stroke counts.
* Tutorial prompts shown and dismissed or completed, and dismissal reasons.
* Use of features such as Mulligans, Redraw Hand, and the scorecard.
* Clicks on wishlist and feedback buttons. A wishlist click does not tell us whether you subsequently added the Game to your wishlist.
Unity also processes technical information associated with analytics, including device/platform information and IP addresses. See Unity's analytics privacy overview and Unity's player privacy policy for its processing details.
Our custom gameplay events do not include your name, email address, Steam ID, or feedback text. Random identifiers are pseudonymous, not a guarantee of anonymity: they allow events from the same installation to be associated. We inspect aggregate reports and individual pseudonymous session timelines to understand where players encounter difficulty. We do not use these gameplay events to deliver personalized advertising.
Your analytics choices
Analytics collection is off until you agree. You can change your choice in Settings > Privacy. Your choice is stored locally on each device, not in Steam Cloud, so check it separately on other computers.
Turning collection off stops new gameplay-event recording. Previously recorded events may still be uploaded, including a final upload when you turn collection off. Disabling collection does not by itself delete previously collected data.
You can separately request analytics deletion in Settings > Privacy. This turns collection off and sends a deletion request to Unity for the identifier used by this installation. If offline, the Game retains the request and retries when it can connect. Request delivery is not confirmation that server-side deletion has finished. This action does not reset your game progress or delete your Steam account or feedback submissions. Contact us for assistance with information associated with other installations or feedback.
Saved progress and Steam
The Game stores progress and settings on your computer. When Steam Cloud is enabled and available, game-progress files are synchronized through Steam so you can continue on another computer. Audio/display settings, language choice, and analytics preferences are not part of the Game's cloud-progress snapshot.
Steam processes account and service information separately under Valve's privacy policy. Declining gameplay analytics does not disable Steam or Steam Cloud.
Reset Progress resets gameplay progress and schedules the corresponding cloud-progress reset when synchronization is available. It is not an analytics deletion action. The Game keeps local recovery backups, so a progress reset is not a secure erasure of every local copy.
Feedback and support
Giving feedback is optional. We use the contents of your feedback and any contact details you provide to investigate problems, improve the Game, and respond to you. Please do not include sensitive personal information or information about others.
The Give Feedback button opens an external form. The Game does not append its analytics installation or session identifiers to the form URL.
Why we process information
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for optional gameplay analytics. You may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Service providers and disclosures
We use Unity for analytics and Valve for Steam services. Information is disclosed to these providers as needed for those functions. Providers may have their own responsibilities and privacy terms, as linked above.
We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, subject to applicable law.
Storage locations and retention
Our providers may process information outside your country.
We retain information only for the applicable purposes and legal requirements:
Steam Cloud progress: managed through the Game's synchronization/reset functionality and Steam's applicable service practices.
Your rights and contact
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. Contact privacy [@] jamopolis.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your request and locate the relevant records. Because gameplay analytics uses random identifiers rather than names, an email address alone may not identify your analytics records; the in-game deletion control can help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game or our practices change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
